19. Project development¶
This week I worked on defining my final project idea and started to getting used to the documentation process.
what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?¶
Completed Tasks¶
-
Micro-controller design
-
input devices
3.output devices
4.Embeded programming
5.Communications
Tasks Remain¶
I am planning to control the robot with joystick.
what has worked? what hasn’t?¶
every thing work well except the communcation between the joystick and the robot. I must sovle this problem or think about another way to controll the robot may be by phone application.
what questions need to be resolved?¶
I was wondering about the rang of the flame sensor and by testing I found it to by 30cm.
what will happen when?¶
Week 10 - Input devices: Design my own PCB and Test the sensor and write the codes for them. Week 12 - Output devices: Write the code for the servo motors and test them. Week 13 - Networking and Communcation: Transmitting and receiving data using bluetooth. Week 20 - Project development: Build the robot structure and wires connections.
To do the time management I used the Gantt Chart that I designed in canva to see the time spend in developing the parts of the project.
what have you learned?¶
I have learned that managing time and following a defined plan from the beginning will save time and effort. I also learn that we must cheek every connection of the PCB before the milling and after it to ensure that there is no short between the traces to solve the problem early without westing time
