18.Project development¶
This week assigment¶
Complete your final project, tracking your progress:
- what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?
- what’s working? what’s not?
- what questions need to be resolved?
- what will happen when?
- what have you learned?
what tasks have been completed¶
- Tasks completed as of 09/06/2020
what tasks remain?¶
Schedule¶
what’s working? what’s not?¶
What went well¶
- Bend of curved bolt
- Printing parts such as gears with a 3D printer
- Serial communication and minimal programming between Raspberry Pi and satshakit
- Cutting of dome frame by CNC
Not working yet (under development)¶
- Temperature and weather forecast display on LCD monitor
- Wiring simplification, box storage?
- Internet information collection and display by Raspberry Pi
- Remote control operation
worked but needs improvement¶
- Gears made of PLA but wears quickly, real products need to be made of hard material.
- Bending accuracy of the curve bolt is required for smooth opening and closing.
- Currently, serial communication is one-way from Raspberry Pi to satshakit, but intercommunication system that sends information whether it is open or closed from satshakit to Raspberry Pi also needs to be developed.
what questions need to be resolved?¶
-
How should the wiring be organized?
-
How should we proceed with packaging?
what will happen when?¶
The schedule is maintained in the latest spreadsheet above.
what have you learned?¶
I learned so much at this academy.
Among them, I write that I am particularly impressed.
I can do it if I try!
- It was my first experience of electronic work, but I learned that if I didn’t understand it, I could investigate it, listen to it, and try again and again. The feeling of accomplishment when I did it gave me great confidence.
How to manage pro projects
- I would like to use markdown management of MKdocs for organizing notes and information in the future. I also think that management management is a method that is actually useful in development and business. I especially want to be aware of spiral thinking.
Video and photo editing
- I learned how to change the size. I also learned how to edit videos with iMovie. What do you want to convey to the other person in an easy-to-understand manner? This is very important. It is necessary to take a standpoint of the other party and know what the other person wants to know.
Operation of various CAD
- I’ve tried so many CAD apps. It was a basic operation, but I understood the characteristics of each cad. In the future, I would like to revenge some things I like again to improve my skills.
Digital language
- When measured with an oscilloscope, the bits have a fixed period and are digitized into 0 and 1. I also learned that the digital language can be decoded by converting the numerical value from binary to hexadecimal. I was impressed with the feeling of seeing the unknown world.
Lastly instructors
- I am truly grateful to the instructors for their dedicated advice on this question. Next time I want to work hard to become myself.
