About me

Hi! My name is Jefferson Josue Sandoval Betanco, but please call me “Jeff” 😄, I was born born in 1998 in a warm city called León, Nicaragua. I grew up with parents as an only child.

I enjoy the process of bringing an idea to reality, supported by the method of learning by doing, which I consider is the best way to get new and practical knowledge.

I’m currently in Germany, where I arrived in October 2019 for an academic exchange at the Hochschule Rhein Waal Kamp-Lintfort.

It has been an amazing experience in terms of culture, language, knowledge, skills, and more… all with a high level of independence.

Here I knew the snow for the first time 😄❄:

During my stay here I discovered the FabLab world and fell in love with it. I took the Fundamentals of digital fabrication course 2020, which I define as a “mini-FabAcademy course”. Eventually, for my fortune, I got a scholarship for the Fab Academy 2021:

Why FabAcademy?

Taking in consideration my studies in Mechatronics and sticking to my point of view of the FabLabs and the FabAcademy, I think that improving my digital fabrication skills will be an excellent complement, plus the fact that this is a very practical and international educational program.
