CHOOSING A COPYRIGHT

Considering how best to disseminate this project and what kinds of protection to offer requires a few considerations. There are various levels to this project that perhaps make it more complicated.

---> microLogo

microLogo is a A programming language developed by Brian Silverman that I am using in this project. The underlying IP for this version of Logo belongs to him. It is not yet licensed but potentially under MIT License.

---> Original Color Clock Code

My Color Clock is based on a Color Clock program designed by Brian Silverman. I will be making my own version as well. The clock will have two presets. One is Brian Silverman's the other is mine. Brian's preset and the code that is used to generate it belongs to him. I would use an MIT License for these as well.

---> The Color Clock

The Color Clock presented at Fab Academy with the design files and documentation on how it is implemented relates to me. I would want protection against this idea being made commercial but I want people to be able to download and remix it. I would put a copyright or I am leaning towards Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International. CC BY-NC-SA-4.0

---> logoTools

The packaging of a set of circuits and tools that use Brian's microLogo. The circuit in the Color Clock would fall in this category. This is a personal project and it is evolving in collaboration with Brian Silverman. I am not yet sure where this would go but want tp protect it the same as with the above license.
