INSTRUCTORS BOOTCAMP WORKING SITE¶
Here you can find info for those attending the Instructors Bootcamp 2026 in Norway.

General Information¶
The bootcamp will be organized in the Fab lab in Solvik Gard, Ørnes, 9060 Kvalvik, Norway
The activites will run from the 12th till the 16th of January
If you prefer to arrive earlier, or stay longer this is possible, for 100,- euro's a day (lodging and food).
The schedule is being developed - if you want to add ideas, or have projects you would like to be part of the bootcamp, let us know.

The cost for the bootcamp is 450,- euros (every extra day you would like to stay is charged at 100,- euro).
The cost includes transport from and to Tromso aiport, lodging for the days of the bootcamp (12th till 16th), breakfast, lunch and dinner. Payments can be made on site using Visa or Mastercard. Making a bank transfer using their IBAN is also possible, but not preferred.
We will be above Tromso (the biggest city in the area) about which you can find more information here. Note that we are above the polar circle, and it might get (very) cold. Check out the regular weather patterns for January here and make sure to bring adequate clothing, shoes and gear!

Other activites in the area¶
We will soon add more details, but the area around the lab is known for hiking, skiing (downhill close to Tromso, backcountry around the lab), dog sledding, kayaking on the fjord, ice climbing and more. If you would like to participate in one of these activities, make sure to pack adequate clothing, and optionally bring gear.
Fab2.0 - Post event in Oslo¶
On January 18th and 19th, Jens Dyvik hosts a post bootcamp meetup in Oslo on making Fab Lab machines with Fab Labs. All participants of the instructors bootcamp are welcome, and planning a stopover through Oslo airport is convenient. More info and sign-up here
