About me#

Hello! I’m Anaí Montero, fashion designer with specialization in pattern making. I have more than 15 years working in the textile industry, producing in a conventional way, I am aware of the damage that the textile industry causes in the environment, which is why I am very interested in new technologies in this sector. That is why Maison Couture Atelier is born, which is a co-working design, where we promote the responsible use of resources, we promote the promotion of the circular economy and the experimentation and prototyping, to only produce what is really needed. My background#

I live in Mexico City, I was born in Xalapa, Veracruz, but since I was very small I lived in the city, from my favorite pastimes is reading, music and traveling.I was fortunate to be born into a family that was already living in the textile industry, since I was very young I interacted with the clothing factories.

Previous work#

I studied fashion design, prior to this I studied industrial pattern making, graduation and tailoring. Currently I teach Pattern Making, Modeling and Tailoring, I am founder of Maison Couture Atelier, a space dedicated to the promotion of fashion production in Mexico.For more than 15 years I have worked in clothing manufacturing companies, and giving workshops in different schools like Jannette Klein.
