WEEK 4: BioChromes¶
Textile Lab Amsterdam Dye Chart
All the Amsterdam students documented their exeperimentation on the spredsheet above. This way, we can access a range of colours and their pH sensitivities. Each dyestuff has its own number (from 1 -9), letters from A - N determine the yarn or fabric used, and roman numerals are used for differentiating each type of bath, varying from I -IV. As a result we could all use the same terminology and design to create a common color chart
KILLING BACTERIA
- Place the bacteria in a pressure cooker to steralize it (the sameway we steralise the food food jars. Don't forget to add new Autokleeftape to know when properly steralised.
- Harvest the bacteria by adding ethanol to the petri dishes and swashing the dye around abit. (see final step above)
