2024
When I discovered the Fabriacademy program, I understood that there was a space where I could combine my knowledge of industrial and apparel design in diverse interdisciplinary projects. I am very excited to be able to experiment.
Assignments¶
I hope to be able to complete all the lessons very soon, this time I focused on taking those in which I have little or no knowledge. below an example from the documentation of Loes Bogers TextileLab Amsterdam 2019-20
Project management | Digital bodies | Circular fashion |
Biochromes | . . . E-textiles | Biofabricating |
Open-source hardware | Computational couture | Textile scaffold |
Wearables | SoftRobotics | Skin electronics |
And in week 11 I proposed my final project.
Adding images¶
there are many way to add an image, most important is that the images are optimised - check out the tip for more info

Tip
remember to resize and optimize all your images. You will run out of space and the more data, the more servers, the more cooling systems and energy wasted :) make a choice at every image :) This image is optimised in size with resolution 72 and passed through tinypng for final optimisation. Remove tips when you don't need them anymore!
About me¶
you can introduce yourself in many ways! audio, images, video..
Hi! I am Stephanie Urbano P. I am a fashion & industrial designer based in Lima, Perú.
I am a multidisciplinary designer with an interest in the development of textile products, apparel and accessories, research and development of innovative products and services; with knowledge of diverse materials and manufacturing processes, and end-to-end project management focused on user needs. My personal design practice is linked to sustainable design, circular design, responsible production and consumption; as well as digital fabrication, textile manipulation and the study and application of craft techniques.
below an example from the documentation of both Sara Alvarez TextileLab Amsterdam 2020-21 and Diane Wakim Le TextileLab Lyon

My background¶
I was born and raised in Huancayo, Junín, a province at 3500m.a.s.l. where nature and culture meet at every step. As a multidisciplinary designer and artist by vocation, I like to approach projects from an exploratory, collaborative and divergent point of view. The proposals I develop are empathetic with people and the environment. I question all the possibilities of available resources and the impact of the final product before, during and after its life cycle. The sustainable and social design approach governs my work.
As an artist, manual techniques are my favorite, and I complement them with different skills and digital programs, combining tradition and technology.
Previous work¶
From my personal interests and my academic background in design, I had the opportunity to develop different projects focused on industrial design and apparel, here are my favorite projects and the link to my portfolio for those who are curious.
