Activities

Fab Academy Instruction is a multidisciplinary career. It not only involves mastering the technical skills. There is also back end, policy, planning and organization, student support, leadership and many other related skills that play an important role. We have carefully crafted a balanced program covering all these aspects in a relaxed an fun format. Here you are some activities highlights.

Lunch talks

Is open source reliable? During lunch… more discussions! A theme will be proposed every day and we will share different points around the table, come and say your last word!

Hapsenkatti points system

Hapsenkatti is a troublemaker in water making your fishnets and other fishing gear tangled. Every time you do something wrong you accumulate Hapsenkatti points. Friday it’s payment day. Those 5 who have more Hapsenkatti points will have to pay to Hapsenkatti. The only thing you want to remember is that you don’t want to be among these five. Things that accumulate Hapsenkatti points are:

  • Improper use of the tools
  • Using proprietary software
  • Not cleaning up after you work
  • Wasting material
  • Fabricating makerboxes
  • And many more!
