Test equipment

The test equipment used in this excersize were a multimeter and an oscilloscope. Gabriella documented on her site the use of a multimeter.

An oscilloscope was used during the machine week to help troubleshoot a controller board for a stepper motor controller. Using the oscilloscope to test the board showed that there were signals going through the board but the motor was not moving.

Using the oscilloscope helped us realize that the controller and signals were working so we knew there was some other reason why the board did not work. Later we discovered the board was not properly soldered.
