WEEK12 - Input Devices

This week was Input Devices. We all worked individually on our devices and decided to measure and probe a phototransistor on our board for the group Assignment.

LIGHT TRANSISTORS

Colloquially also often called light-resistors it should be noted that this is actually a light-transistor.

While we learned in our previous weeks that the transistor has 3 legs, in this case the 3rd leg or parameters is actually the fluctuating light.

We tested it using both a multimeter and an oscillator.

We had some fun freaking the oscillator out, but over all it was a useful tool to visualize the fluctuations in the resistance and thus in the amount of voltage that was traveling through the resistor as we were depriving it of light.
