Freedom to build what you want FreeCAD is an open-source parametric 3D modeler made primarily to design real-life objects of any size. Parametric modeling allows you to easily modify your design by going back into your model history and changing its parameters.

SKETCHER

Tool Name Description
Line by 2 points Draws a line segment from 2 points
Arc Draws an arc segment from center, radius, start angle and end angle
Circle Draws a circle from center and radius
B-Spline Draw bspline
Polyline Draws a line made of multiple line segments. Several drawing modes available

PART DESIGN

Tool Name Description
Pad Extrudes a solid object from a selected sketch
Revolution Creates a solid by revolving a sketch around an axis
Adaptative smoothing Smooth a profile from several sketches

MESH

Tool Name Description
Mech from PartShape tessellate the shape
